A blessing from Our Lady of Penha de França to Matias Simões, a corporal of the Royal Navy, coming from Bahia (Brazil) in the Ship Srª das Brotas, commanded by Gaspar Pinheiro da Câmara Manuel, in 1736. On the eighth day of the journey, he fell overboard, around 8 o'clock at night, pleading for rescue. This representation was chosen for the cover the catalog of the Exhibition on Votive Panels of the River, the Sea and Overseas in the Maritime Museum, 1983.
